The burial of Senator Isaka Adeleke who died at age 62 of heart attack according to family source, has been postponed for an autopsy. He represented Osun West senatorial district at the 8th National Assembly.
He was a three-term Senator and a former governor of his state on the platform of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, under the short-lived diarchy cum democratic dispensation of the military administration of General Ibrahim Babangida.
Until his death, he was planning to run for the governorship election in the state in 2018.
Meanwhile, the Yoruba youth body, Yoruba Youth Socio-cultural Association (YYSA), said it received the news of the death of Senator Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke with shock.
This was contained in a statement made availability to journalists in Ibadan,the Oyo State capital on Sunday .
The group said: “The late Senator is a gem and political colossus who impacted positively in not only in the lives of Osun people but Nigerians at large.
” Adeleke’s is a great loss, not only for Ede or Osun State people but to Southwest and indeed the entire Nigeria. The legacy he left behind can not be forgotten and will pray to God Almighty to grand him Aljanat Fridaws”.
