President, Muhammadu Buhari has returned to Abuja after a two-week medical vacation and education summit to the United Kingdom.
His plane touched down at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at about 7:15 pm on Friday.
Buhari left Nigeria for the United Kingdom on July 26 to participate in the Global Education Summit on Financing Global Partnership for Education (GPE) 2021-2025 and then have his regular medical check up.
In the weeks the President spent in the UK, he met and played host to various dignitaries including the UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, who gave an assurance that the UK is available to assist Nigeria in its war against terrorism.
Earlier, he also participated in an Education Summit. During the summit, he pledged to increase the budget for the education sector by as much as 50 per cent over the next two years., saying that education holds the key to progress in modern life.
President Buhari had also visited a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, who is currently also in London.
