The Emir of Bichi, Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero has inaugurated a 145- member committee to facilitate the smooth conduct of the wedding fatiha of his daughter and son of President Muhammadu Buhari as well as his coronation as the second Emir of Bichi by the state governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
The occasions are scheduled to take place at his place on Friday, August 20 and Saturday 21, 2021. The committee is to be headed by Madakin bichi, the district head of Bagwai, Alhaji Nura Shehu Ahmad with falakin Bichi Alhaji Abba Wada Waziri as secretary.
Inaugurating the committee on Thursday, the emir, who was represented by the Madakin Bichi, Alhaji Nura Shehuahmad said the committee selection was based on merit.
The emir charged them to use their wealth of experience to ensure the success of the occasions.
He said the wedding fatiha would be conducted on Friday, August 20, while the coronation ceremony would hold the following day in Bichi.
The committee which is divided into seven sub committees including finance, venue and protocol, transport and accommodation, publicity, security, special prayer and durbar.
