Award-winning artiste Seyi Shay who recently released a song called Pempe featuring Yemi Alade: https://youtu.be/-K1QLa9MCBE plans to empower women with a business talk during a dinner scheduled for some time in July, 2021.
This empowerment talk is a following -up on the success of her stint as a Nigerian Idol judge and a closet raid, she held in June.
According to a statement, “Seyi is passionate about the girl child and women empowerment, she has decided to take this song further by embarking on a journey that inspires them. She wants to create safe spaces for young women who have little to no support. At the empowerment segment to the dinner 10 selected girls will be empowered with a business acumen talk,”
The songstress who has some hit singles to her credit- “Irawo”, “Ragga Ragga”, “Right Now” and “Murda” featuring Patoranking and Shaydee, said ” the Pempe Closet Raid is one of the ways I choose to express my love for fashion and sisterhood. 9 lucky girls had access to my closet and did damage! The closet raid was an opportunity for Me to share my unique style and story. The girls went away with a specially curated box of some of My best items, an open line to reach out to Me for anything and a life hack from Me.
Recall that in January 2021, Shay signed a publishing deal with Universal Music Publishing Group, France division, in partnership with Universal Music France.
