
Professor Chukwuma Soludo, former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria CBN, has emerged winner in the governorship primary election conducted by the All Progressives Grand Alliance in Awka, the Anambra State capital on Wednesday.
In an emphatic victory, he polled 740 votes out of the 792 votes cast by delegates. 795 delegates were accredited for the primary.
His vistory means he will represent the party in the governorship election scheduled to hold on November 6, 2021.
Governor Willie Obiano, members and other stakeholders of the party were present at the event.
