The Kogi State Command of the Nigeria Police Force on Friday, said it has arrested one 38-years old Timothy James and 44- years old Comfort David, both of Zaki-Biam, Benue State who specialise in robbing POS attendants.
The Command in a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Williams Aya, said that the suspects had confessed to the commission of the crime.
The suspects, according to the statement, had robbed their victim, 23- years old Jammai Maryam Bashir of the sum of fifty thousand, two hundred Naira at her POS business point along Cemetery road, Lokoja at about 9:45 am on Friday.
“They carried out their nefarious act under the guise of performing deliverance on the victim and thereafter robbed her.
“The victim immediately after she had regained consciousness, raised the alarm which led to the arrest of the duo at Nataco on their way to Abuja and recovered the sum of forty three thousand, two hundred naira from them. Efforts is ongoing to arrest other members of the syndicates
“They further confessed that, they had robbed in Jalingo, Makurdi, and Oturkpo
“The suspects will be arraigned in court on completion of the investigation” the Police image marker disclosed.
