Having watched Manchester United and Liverpool played a drab goalless league match at Anfield, last week, it was hard to tell which way Sundays’ FA cup match would go. But when Mo’Salah opened scoring for the visitors at Old Trafford in the 18th minutes of play, Liverpool looked ready to turn the tables.

But less than 10 minutes of play Man U’s Mason Greenwood equalized and before the break, Marcus Rashford made it two. The second half became the chance to show the skills and talents for both teams are noted for under stiff challenge. In the 58th minutes, Salah made it two. Tension mounted and with it swung the emotions.

In the 78th minutes talismanic Bruno Fernandes broke the tie with a superb free-kick from a Fabinho foul of Edison Cavani just outside the box. His well- measured kick beat Allison to give Manchester United victory in a thrilling FA Cup tie with old rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford. The victory set up Man U with West Ham in the fifth round of the cup
