Nigerian Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Pantami, middle, and to his immediate left, the Controller General, Fire Service of Nigeria, Liman Alhaji- Ibrahim during a visit of the minister to the Fire Services Corporate Headquarters in Abuja.
The Nigerian Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Pantami, has urged the Federal Fire Service to take full advantage of the Emergency Communications Centres (ECC) with the 112 Toll-Free Number which is in existence and active in the Federal Capital Territory and other 19 states.
Dr Pantami made the appeal when he paid a working visit to the Federal Fire Service Corporate Headquarters, Abuja in line with the Digital Nigeria agenda championed by the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy.
He also made a case for the deployment of Fire Fighting Trucks in the North Eastern State of Gombe and further pledged commitment to support the automation of the service processes in a bid to enhance efficiency in service delivery to Nigerians.
On his part, the Controller General, Fire Service of Nigeria, Liman Alhaji- Ibrahim appreciated the Minister for the visit and promised to ensure Fire Fighting Trucks are delivered to Gombe State.
