The Federal Road Safety Corp, FRSC, has deployed 1,500 personnel to Edo State for the forthcoming Election.
According to a statement made available to newsmen by the Corps Public Education Officer, Assistant Corps Marshal, Bisi Kazeem, he said the move by the service is it’s contribution towards ensuring a smooth electoral process in the state election slated for 19th September, 2020.
The statement says that the FRSC team will be lead by the Zonal Commanding Officer RS5, Benin and will be assigned by the Assistant Corps Marshal in charge of Federal Operations at the FRSC headquarters, along side the Sector Commander RS5.1 Benin.
Mr. Kazeem revealed that the FRSC Corps Marshal, Dr. Boboye Oyeyemi approved 35 vehicles which includes Tow trucks, Ambulances and other Operational vehicles, to 18 Local Government Areas of Edo State.
Dr. Oyeyemi however admonished deployed FRSC personnel to be professional in their duty and ensure compliance with the kids Presidential Task Force Directives on COVID- 19.
