… Allegations are baseless, Says Aide

The Youths of Toro Federal Constituency of Bauchi State has condemned in strong terms what they called the ineffective representation of it’s law maker at the National Assembly, Hon Umar Muda Lawal.
The coordinators of the youths in the constituency Comrade, Abdulrahman Abdullahi , Garbage Mohammed explained that they “the nonchalance, inaccessible, ineffective and non- participatory/consultative nature of the federal lawmaker has negatively impacted Toro Constituency
In a statement /petition jointly signed by the leaders of concerned Toro Youths and made available to this medium in Jos, the youths said they have decided to pass a vote of no confidence on member representing them because of poor representation at the NASS.
The statement claimed that Lawal recently sacked all his aides when they complained of ill treatment melted on them, especially his campaign director.
“We can no longer tolerant this hence our resolve to brief the press that Umar Muda Lawal is not fit to represent the good people of Toro federal constituency in the national assembly.
“Moreover, we have not heard or seen any contributions made by the lawmaker during proceedings, plenary sessions, oversight functions and even in his constituency.
“The worst of it all is that the member remains in Abuja which has made him inaccessible to the people of Toro federal constituency. Even when a private bill was drafted for him to present on the floor of the house, he was nowhere to be found. Yet he has not sponsored a single bill in the 9th Assembly Abuja as a member.”
“So, therefore, we hereby pass a vote of no confidence on Hon Umar Muda Lawal as member representing Toro Constituency and our resolve to begin to process of recalling him call back based on his incompetent.”
The youths recall that Hon. Lawal was elected on the platform of APC in 2019 general election based on the plea of his mother, who is a federal permanent secretary.
According to them since voted into power, he has only visited Toro his constituent twice.
“When we lost big VIPs and Toro Traditional rulers and swearing in of new , he refused to come.
“In the months of August he sacked his SA political for advising him against abandoning and neglecting his constituency projects.
“Of recent , Lassa kill a traditional ruler but he couldn’t visit nor sent a condolence message and he refused to pick our call.”
The aggrieved youths however admitted on questioning that Hon Lawal had performed some projects in the constituency but were ready to point out the projects were funded or supported by his protective mother.
”Only few boreholes he repaired not constructed, new ones and a two class rooms block build and a purchased of one school buss before he became a member at the NASS” , they admitted.
“Recently, we saw a posting on his page on Facebook where he said he distribute palliative and Sallah support every where in Toro federal constituency which is a capital lie.
He has frustrated all our efforts to make any form of communication to correct his mistakes
Hon Lawal could not be reached for reaction, but an aide, Mr Zayyanu Mato told this medium that “one Umar Tilde who migrated from Plateau state to Toro Constituency is the one stirring conflict among the youths and causing problems .
He disclosed that until “Arc Tilde UMar is arrested and made to substantiate his allegations,” only then would any form of response come forth.
He explained further that ,” you should disregard the allegations because they lack any substance, they information contained in them are baseless that you should ignore
