The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has noted with grave concern the increasing number of Facebook accounts and other social media handles displaying its name and portraying themselves as the official social media handles of NDA.
Some of these unofficial handles include “NDA Kaduna Videos” and “NDA Cadets” among others transmit various messages and images with the sole intent of deceiving members of the public and achieving their various nefarious goals.
A statement by the Public Relations Officer, Major Abubakar Abdullahi, which disclaimed the accounts, hereby denounced these fake social media accounts and strongly advised the general public to desist from having any official interaction with them.
“Please note that NDA maintains only one official Facebook and one Twitter handle viz @DefenceAcademyNG and @HQ_NDA respectively.
The general public, according to the statement, is further advised to please disregard any information emanating from such fake accounts and report the operators to the NDA Military Police or any nearest authority.
