Romelu Lukaka scores an own goal to give victory to Sevilla
Sevilla came from behind to defeat Inter Milan. 3-2 in a an interesting encounter in the final of the Europa on Friday.
Milan, poised to grab their first trophy in nine years, took the lead with a penalty by Romelu Lukaku in the fifth minute of the game, making it his 34th goal for the season and 11th in a row in the Europa.
In the 13th minute, Sevilla pulled one back when de jong headed in a Jesus Navas cross to beat goalie Samir Handanovic. De jong made it 2-1 in the 34th minute, again by a wonderful header. But Sevilla’s jubilation was cut short when Diego Godin headed in the equalizer, making it 2 apiece before half-time.
Play resumed in a cautious note until a Diego Carlos overhead kick that was going wild was deflected by Lukaku into his own net. Lukaka however had what would have turned out the joker in the 90+5 min when faced alone with the keeper but then he flung the ball wide.
