Magu Ask IGP for Bail

The suspended Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu, has filed application to the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, to be released on bail.

 Mr Oluwatosin Ojaomo, one of his lawyers requested made the request on Friday on behalf of Magu who is being investigated over corruption allegations by a special presidential panel.

The suspended Acting Chairman of the anti-graft agency has been in detention since his arrest on Monday.

Magu in the lawyer’s letter dated July 10 requested that he should be granted bail “on self-recognisance”.
