Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has paid a scheduled visit to his Rivers State counterpart, Nyesom Wike, at the Government House, Port Harcourt on Sunday.
The visit is coming on the heels of Obaseki’s disqualification by the screening committee of his party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, to contest its primaries taking place on June 22.
His disqualification on Democracy June 12, had been significantly matched by Obaseki’s reaction by obtaining a membership card of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in his Oredo Ward on the same. He however denied he has defected to the PDP, stating that he would exhaust consultations within his party before making his next move publicly known.
