Embattled National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has been granted relief by the Abuja division of the Court of Appeal which stayed the execution of the ruling of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) suspending him from the party.
A three-man panel of the appellate court consequently, restrained the respondents in the appeal from proceeding to act or take any further steps with regard to the ruling of the FCT high court.
Meanwhile, the party had postponed its NEC meeting earlier scheduled for Tuesday after a closed door meeting on Monday between President Muhammadu Buhari and governors of the ruling party at the State House, Abuja.
Governor Atiku Bagudu, who led the governors to the meeting with Buhari, told State House correspondents at the end of the meeting that the postponement was at the instance of the governors.
The NEC meeting was believed to have been scheduled to remove Adams Oshiomhole as National Chairman.
