From Nnaya Okemini, Umuahia

Minster of Transportation, Rotimi Amechi
The secretary general, Ohaneze Ndigbo, Dimm Uche Okwukwu has called on security agencies in the country to beef up security around the Minister Transportation, Chief Rotimi Amaechi.
Okwukwu made the call in a press statement tagged “Aisha Yesufu’s threat to Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi calls for concern” made available to newsmen, Saturday in Umuahia, the Abia state capital.
He explained that their attention had been drawn to a video posted on Instagram by Yesufu, in which she, apparently speaking on behalf of Boko Haram told the world that the minister is not safe.
He said ordinarily, they would not have bordered about the clip, but her choice of words and obvious confidence that Amaechi will be in harms way, soon enough, is not only worrisome but deserving of a security alert.
According to the scribe of the pan Igbo organization, “Worse still is the very sudden death of the chief detail to the honourable minister, less that 48 hours after the video went into circumstances.”
Okwukwu noted that as a peace loving and law abiding people they want the security agencies to invite her to explain in details the very essence of the video and why she is so sure that the minister is not safe.
“We reiterate that as a people, we will not fold our arms and watch our son and brother, who has worked so hard, for this country, to be harmed. This will not be tolerated.”
He said It is on record that Amaechi, during his tenure as governor of Rivers State restored peace and security in the state, adding “This testifies that he values security of lives and property.”
“His contributions as minister for transportation, in the railway sector, has also helped the security agencies in their efforts to rid the country, especially, the north of insurgency.”
