The Okun Rebirth Organization has condemned in its entirety the current push by Lokoja Critical Stakeholders to unseat the Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon Matthew Kolawole who is an illustrious son of Okun nation in Kogi state.
The Group described the wicked move and campaign of calumny against the Speaker of the house as unwarranted and unhealthy.
Zaccheaus Dare Michael, President, Okun Rebirth Organization made the condemnation in a statement while reacting to a petition titled, ” Why Lokoja Must Retrieve Kogi Assembly Speakership” described those behind the write up as being selfish in their struggle.
Dare warned those behind the statement to make a withdrawal, as the ministerial slot to Lokoja would be taken from them if they don’t go about it with caution, maturity and understanding.
The Okun Rebirth Organization also described the cry of marginalization as stated in the write up by the group as a figment of their imagination.
According to Dare, while the present speaker and the people of Kabba, Okun people in general were working to ensure victory for the APC, what was the contributions of the Lokoja Critical Stakeholders to the APC in the last general and governorship election.
He applauded the leadership of Rt Hon. Mathew Kolawole as one that has helped to stabilized the Kogi State Assembly.
The President Okun Rebirth Organization, further noted that the governorship election was won clean and clear, with everyone having at his finger tips the contributions of Rt Hon. Mathew Kolawole, in Kabba/ Bunu.
While insisting that the loyalty of the Speaker to the governor is never in doubt, Dare described the purported Lokoja Critical Stakeholders and their sponsors enemy of Kogi state who expect the lawmakers to be at logger head with the Executive for no just cause.
The Okun Rebirth Organization denied the allegation that the speaker is the governor’s stooge, described Prince Mathew Kolawole as a very independent man, with the growth and development of the state as his primary goal.
Dare urged the stakeholders if they ever exist to take a retrospection and asked what and where their problems lies rather than chasing shadows all in the name of wanting to be speaker.
The whole world is aware that the three key position currently in Kogi west namely ministerial position, speaker and SSG is spread across the three federal constituency, lamented that the stakeholders have allowed ambition to becloud their sense of reasoning and judgment.
The Okun Rebirth Organization warn that it would spare no kid’s gloves anymore in taking on pseudo elements, who would want to malign the person of the current speaker, all in an attempt to rock the boat, when it is an acknowledged fact that the state in the present arrangement is enjoying peace and tranquility.
According to the Okun Rebirth Organization it would beam its searchlight on those fingered as likely sponsors of the write up.
