The special Adviser on information and communication strategy in Kogi state, Kingsley Fanwo has promised to reposition the state information sector for better performance.
Fanwo gave the assurance in a meeting he held with Directors of information Bureau and Heads of the agencies of the sector on Monday in Lokoja
The Special Adviser said his programme of action will involve a paradigm shift to a modern innovative information dissemination to people of the state on government activities.
He maintained that information is a necessary tool in bridging the gap between the people and government of day.
Fanwo charged the Directors, heads of The Graphic Newspaper and Radio Kogi to be more innovative in promoting the programs of Alhaji Yahaya Bello led-administration in the state.
He stressed that government will continue to provide the needed impetus to ginger the sector in the performance of its pivotal role.
On some of the challenges enumerated by the permanent secretary of the Bureau,Director Generals of The Graphic Newspaper and Radio Kogi, Fanwo assured them that he will convey the challenges to Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello for Special attention.
The special Adviser applauded the efforts of the outgone Director General, Alhaji Abdulmalik Abdulkadir saying he work hard during his tenure.
In their seperate remarks, the Director Generals of The Graphic Newspaper and Radio Kogi, Pastor Dayo Thomas and Alhaji Ojo Oyila Ozevehe thanked Governor Bello for offering them the opportunity to serve in his administration.

On his part, the permanent secretary of the information sector, Mr Sylvanus Akpama commended the special Adviser for holding the maiden meeting with the Directors and heads of the agencies in the information sector.
He noted that the meeting has afforded the Directors, and Heads of the agencies in the sector to rub minds with him on ways to improve information dissemination on the activities of the APC led-administration in the state.
