Sallah: Minister Designate Distributes Ram, Rice, to Muslims in Plateau

Minister designate and former Deputy Governor of Plateau state, Mrs Pauline Tallen has congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the celebration of El – Al- Kabir Day scheduled for Sunday across the globe as an expression of the sacrifice to the peaceful co-existence of people in the world .

Speaking during a donation of food, cash, ram to her people for the Sallah celebration, Mrs  Tallen expressed the hope that “this sacred time serves as a reminder of our joint responsibility to end the suffering of those experiencing senseless conflicts and violence, here in Africa and elsewhere in the world. “

” It is our shared responsibility to collectively uphold peace and pursue justice for all our peoples”, she said , adding “My best wishes of good health, happiness, peace and prosperity to you all and your respective families”, she added.

Mrs Pauline Tallen explained further that the Sallah celebration would bring out the best in the life of the faithful because it teaches the brotherhood of man and how that can be deepened through acts of charity and universal love.

She called on all to see that such a time and season could not have come at a better time than this present moment when Nigeria needs healing.

The Muslim beneficiaries commended her for demonstrating what they called “love and understanding and display of kindness to all mankind “

The member representing Jos North-North Constituency in the Assembly, Hon Ibrahim Baba-Hassan in a statement made available to Journalists in Jos ,Plateau state thanked for donating Rams , bags of rice and others cooking facilities worth million of Naira to the Muslims community in the state .

He said :“ I know that this period has been a very special one of prayers, devotion as you have continued to support the less fortunate through charity and those struggling through various socio-economic and political difficulties.

According to him, Mrs Tallen has done enough for the well-being of Muslims Ummah especially in period of festivity during which the general population of Muslims are in dire need to celebrate with their beloved ones.
