Release Of N30.8Billion Bailout Funds: Bello Set To Clear Salary, Pension Arrears

With the release of the last tranche of N30.8Billion bailout fund to the Kogi state government, Governor Yahaya Bello has announced that he will clear the salary and pension arrears owed workers and pensioners since assumption of office by the end of this month.

Governor Bello who broke the news to the good people of the state during the Ground Breaking and Foundation Laying Ceremony For the building of  Government House Christian Chapel, Lokoja, confirmed that the money is already at the coffers of the state government.

He gave the assurance that the complaints and challenges arising from the backlog salaries and pensions arrears ranging between five months to three years since he came on board will be a thing of the past.

The governor   also added that  the outstanding 4 months salaries  and pensions  owned civil servants by previous administration will be cleared.

Bello played host to prominent christian clergymen within and outside the state marking the first executive governor to inaugurate the building of a chapel for christian worshipers at the Lugard House since Kogi state was created in August 1991.
