The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, which is hearing the ex- parte motion filed by the presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has granted the candidate and his party access to inspect presidential electoral materials in the custody of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
The panel of the tribunal, led by Abdul Aboki, granted the prayers of the lead counsel of the PDP and Atiku Abubakar, Chris Uche. The party’s prayers are six, among which is seeking the order of the court to allow inspection and production of the electoral document used by INEC in the conduct of the presidential election to aid the applicant pursue his case to its logical conclusion.
