The Kogi State Security Trust Fund has reiterated its commitment to support security agencies in the state to tackle cases of violence and thuggery that might occur before, during and after the forthcoming general elections in the country.
The executive chairman of the fund, Isiaka Oyibo stated this while presenting twenty new hilux tyres to representatives of the Nigerian Navy in his office in Lokoja yesterday.
Oyibo who said that similar gesture was being extended to the Nigerian police and the civil defence corps praised security agencies for their efforts at combating crimes in the state.
Earlier in an interview, the executive chairman who spoke on the recent mega rally of the All progressives Congress (APC) in kogi state described the large turnout as an indication of the people’s love for president muhammadu Buhari saying his reelection for a second term is assured.
He expressed optimism that Buhari will win the February sixteen general elections and urged youths to shun all acts of thuggery for a peaceful election.
Oyibo lauded governor yahaya Bello for his genuine leadership which has placed the state on the part of sustainable development.
He said the fund was committed to ensuring that government achieve its vision for the security architecture of the state and called on individuals and corporate organisations to support the trust fund to achieve its mandate.
