President Muhammadu Buhari extended heartfelt appreciation to the people of Plateau State, who turned out in innumerable numbers to welcome him to Jos, during his presidential campaign visit on Saturday
The Rwang Pam Township Stadium, venue of the event, was completely overrun by a sea of humanity, made of ecstatic supporters of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who kept hailing the man they love and admire.
So much was the tumult that the President could not eventually address the crowd.
The All Progressives Congress, APC’s Presidential candidate, Mohammedu Buhari in Jos was on Saturday marred by uncontrollable group of hoodlums who immediately hijack the podium and overrun the campaign couldn’t allow Mr President to make his speech or receive the decampees .
The exercise was disorganized even before the arrival of President Mohammedu Buhari, when the MC and Director General of the Industrial Training Funds, Sir Joseph Ari, climbed the podium and warned the security agencies against pushing of supporters who mostly Youths brought the campaign to become rowdy ,while some of those on thugs climbed up the podium turning the place as free for all gathering .
However, the situation became unbearable that Former Senator Victor Rampyal Lar equally lost his handset to those notorious thugs and his clothes turn into pieces immediately sacking the gathering to escape for the onslaught .
The announcement raised a lot of confusion and heavy stamped leading to the pulling down of the presidential podium and the President was smuggled through the narrow.
Many Journalists became scared of the reactions and ran out of the stadium, even those that were transmitting life coverage found it hard to control their cameras.
On arrival to the stadium, the environment become more confused to the extend that the event was cut short, as dignitaries were not even able to address the public.
The president was smuggled out of the stadium using exit routes behind the stadium.
Those who react to the development said it was a shamefull outing what so far, describing as wasted resources and energy as the president saw a half red dream but was not able to receive those decampees or hand over flag to Governor Simon Lalong.
Police had earlier announced that in other to ensure a hitch-free visit of President Mohammedu Buhari to Plateau State the Police had provided a water-tight security in order to achieve a successful and peaceful event.
DSP Tyopev Matthias Terna, the Police Public Relations Officer Plateau State Command, said the Commissioner of Police Plateau State Command, Jos CP Austin I. Agbonlahor in his wisdom had deployed two thousand and fifty Police officers and men to provide security.

The beneficiaries of Presidential campaign to the state were the food sellers ,artisans ,transporters who took advantage of the day to make money for themselves.

Mr President who arrived Jos Heipang Airport enroute Rwang Pam stadium were a crowd came out yo welcome him.
The Members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), across the state supporters were also seen colorfully dressed to receive the number one citizen of the country in their attires .
Plateau State Deputy Speaker Rt Hon Saleh Shehu Yipmong who led Kanam APC stalwarts said that the president’s visit was a welcome development as shown by the crowd
He said; ‘‘ We pray that he would win the presidential election and the country will be changed for good, “he said. “I am overwhelmed with the crowd and the airport and stadium” .
Among those on ground to receive the president were youths, Association of Market Women and the cultural dance troupe Nagelu whose leaders also said President Buhari deserves a second term so that he could complete his fight against corruption .
After waiting for about an hour, with the melee not receding, Buhari quickly received some citizens who defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) from other political parties, waved at the appreciative crowd, and left for Abuja.
The President lauded Plateau people for turning out in their thousands to welcome him into Jos, lining the roads right from the airport, defying the boiling sun.
He thanked them for their steadfastness over the years, and for their continued faith in the administration, which he said was indicated by the turnout at the stadium.
He sued for greater restraint from teeming supporters and appreciative supporters in other campaign stops ahead, pleading that the campaign programme should be allowed to run as planned, since it is also an opportunity for him to give report of his stewardship.
