Chief Alozie
A non-executive director, Rural Electricity Agency (REA), Chief MacSolomon Alozie has hailed President Muhammadu Buhari and Chief Ikechi Emenike for winning the 2019 presidential and governorship primaries respectively in Abia State.
Alozie spoke to our correspondence in his country home in Amaorji in Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area, adding that the two have the capacity to win the elections against minimum or less opposition.
“I am very optimistic that they will be victories. All we need do to make the dream a reality is to move into the field to campaign for them and to make sure the people come out to vote,” he added.
He said his support for the president is based on his having delivered on his 2015 electoral pledges and vision for the youth especially, adding that if given another term, he would take the country to another level.
The member representing the South East on the board of the agency maintained that, ” I can say that the president has in less than four years accomplished what the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) could not do in 16 in the zone.”
Alozie, who said the turn out for the elections were massive and very successful in the area, appealed to the president to use the second term to leverage on the achievements of the firts term.
“Besides this, he needs to soften the way for his successor in the party in 2023 by convincing Nigerians that the party has no alternative by providing them the required good governance,” the member noted.
On the home front, the APC chieftain explained that Emenike must be given the opportunity to take the state away from its present condition, saying the people cannot wait for this any longer.
According to him, “We need a government that will create institutions for development in the state. We need a government that will care for our teaming youth and provide job opportunities for them.”
He used the forum to reiterate his support and loyalty to the leadership of the party under Dr. Emmanuel Ndukwe, stressing that the members must cooperate with each other to ensure it swept the poll the election.
