Following an agreement between the Federal Government and the Nigeria Labour Congress to enable the tripartite committee to conclude its meeting on new wages, leaders of the NLC has called off its ongoing nationwide strike.
NLC President, Ayuba Wabba made the announcement in Abuja, Sunday. He stated that the NLC has agreed to an earlier suggestion by Chris Ngige, Minister of Labour that the tripartite committee continue its meeting on October 4.
He said the suspension of the warning strike takes effect from Sunday 30.
