The Financial Secretary of APC Ustaz Alh Ibrahim has confirmed that the party has screened 214 councillorship aspirants in its preparation for the Local Government election
Speaking to journalists during the ongoing screening exercise held at Ken Hotel, Jos North LGA, Ibrahim said the screening was done to authenticate the number of aspirants vying for chairmanship and councillorship position in the party and refuted allegations that the APC is responsible for the shifting of election dateline and conduct of party primaries in the state.
Meanwhile, councillorship aspirant of Jenta Adamu ward in Jos North Local Government Area Mr
David Odo Musa has decried the infrastructural neglect in Jenta Adamu ward where residents cannot enjoy good road network .
He said ,”I have seen the need in our community but spirited individuals like me cannot do alone, but I think that I can fix it up with the support of APC government if given opportunity to serve “.
Musa noted that deplorable roads, lack of potable water and absence of social facilities had stirred in him the need to come up and offer himself for service, which he had since started by helping to grade, dig and repair pot holes and culverts in the locality.
Musa lamented that the high rate of youth unemployment in the ward calls for urgent government intervention to provide skills acquisition or vocational training that will make them productive to their benefit and their immediate community.
He commended the members of screening committee for their commitment and transparency in ensuring that they all aspirants vying for chairmanship and councillorship position went through the exercise.
Musa expressed confidence in the leadership of PLASIEC in the forthcoming LG election in Plateau state and promised to deliver on his campaign promises. to the people if elected.
