2027: Igala/Bassa Progressive Forum Drums Support for Tinubu, Ododo’s Re-election

The Igala/Bassa Progressive Forum in Kogi East Senatorial District, has endorsed the re-election of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and Governor Usman Ododo for a second term in office.

The forum at a press conference held in Lokoja on Tuesday, declared that President Tinubu and Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi, deserved a second term in office in view of their human face leadership and delivery of democracy dividends to the people.

Chairman of the Progressive Forum, Maximilian Tashilani disclosed that the zone comprising of nine local government areas has over 900,000 votes capacity to deliver for Tinubu and Governor Ododo’s re-election as an appreciation for their landmark achievements and touching the lives of the citizens positively.

“As body of professionals and seasoned politicians, we make bold to state from available records that in the past administrations, non has benefited the Igala/Bassa people like leadership of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, hence, overwhelming support for his re-election in 2027

“Tinubu’s administration has ensured increased political representation and empowerment by appointing qualified personnel from Igala/Bassa region into key positions, like the Minister of Steel Development, The Chief of Army Staff and many others

“Tinubu’s economic reforms and introduction of the Nigerian Education Loan fund as well as other youth centered initiatives including Free Trade Zone, the Kogi Cargo Airport of which Igala/Bassa people are great beneficiary is worthy of commendation

“The Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda is being replicated at the State level through investments in Agriculture, Healthcare, and Education

The forum appreciated Governor Ododo for keying into the developmental agenda of the federal government to tackle the plight of the citizens since assumption of office in the last two years.

The forum also acknowledged Governor Ododo’s giant strides in education, healthcare, Agriculture, youth and women empowerment among others.
