The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for the 2023 elections in Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar and party officials made good their bid to lead a protest to the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Abuja on Monday
Amid shouts of “all we are saying, cancel the election,” “PDP, Power” and “Atiku won the election,” the protester dressed in black and riding on open trucks mounted with megaphones blaring every word of their protest, marched around and within the INEC office with placards that reads “this is election, not selection,” “Enough is enough,: “We stand for Justice.”
The National Chairman of the party, Senator Iyorcha Ayu, had over the weekend announced the protest for Monday and together with Atiku, Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, members od the Presidential Campaign Council PCC and other party officials and members, they carried out their protests.
The PDP is protesting the declaration of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the poll, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as the winner and President-Elect.
