Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Dame Pauline Tallen

My attention has been drawn to a report on the above subject written by Yakubu Busari, your reporter in Jos, and published by your medium on Monday, March 16, 2020.

Firstly, the records must be set in proper perspective that there was never a time when Her Excellency fought Governor Simon Bako Lalong during his reelection bid in 2020.

Evident records show that Her Excellency was the person that first moved a motion for the re-election bid of Governor Lalong in 2015 at an enlarge meeting of the APC state leadership and stakeholders gathering in Jos.

Subsequently, she mobilized and spent her hard earned resources for the Governor’s reelection.

Secondly, as regards to her nomination for the Ministerial seat, it was an obvious fact that God used Mr. President to nominate her even when she never lobbied to become a minister, thus her appointment was a divine arrangement without any tinge of desperation attached.

The writer tried – in a futile manner though – to concoct a fight between Mr. Governor and the Honorable Minister. There is an air of total harmony and concordance in the relationship between the duo, contrary to the baseless allegation being bandied by Busari.

It is worthy to note that ever since Her Excellency became a Minister, she has been having an excellent perfect working relation with the Governor as clearly witnessed by the entire Plateau people. She has severally worked in partnership with His Excellency on the rescue mission in the overall interest of the state and nation at large.

Another limping lie by the author of the said publication is that the Political Camp of Her Excellency are not happy with her and thus have made plans of dumping her. The truth remains; to the best of my knowledge that Her Excellency does not have a Political Camp. As a Minister representing Plateau, she is working with everyone irrespective of party affiliation for the good of the State and the entire nation. Her Close aides and political allies are still very intact and are still assisting her closely to deliver in Governance.

Finally, it is imperative that I advice all those that are interested in causing disharmony between Her Excellency and the Governor to henceforth desist or else we would have no other option that to expose them and their motives to the general public.

Yours in Struggle,

Comrade Prince Miaphen is media aide to Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Dame Pauline Tallen
