Senator Ohuabunwa Inaugurates Solar-Powered Water Project In Ohafia

Senator Mao Ohuabunwa on Monday inaugurated a solar-powered water project he attracted at Akanu Ohafia, Ohafia council area, saying more of such projects are in the pipeline.
Performing the ceremony, the immediate past Senator representing Abia North district at the National Assembly, commended the people for their continued support for him.
He said the project is part of his contributions to the development of the district, adding that he would continue from when he stopped as soon as he returned to the Red Chamber.
The former Senate Committee chairman on Primary Health-Care, who stressed the proper for maintenance of the project also noted the need for it to be guarded from vandalism.
Ohuabunwa used the occasion to appeal to the community,  area, and district to remain calm while his battle to reclaim his mandate at the Election Petitions Tribunal continues.
The Independent National Election Commission (INEC) declared former Abia state governor Orji Uzor Kalu the winner of the 2019 senatorial election for the district against Ohuabunwa.
Responding on behalf of the community, the Traditional Prime Minister, Chief Emma Uduka expressed appreciation to the one-time member of the House of Representatives from 1999-2003.
Similarly, a youth leader in the community, Ibe Okoro  said the project will go along way to address their perennial portable water challenge and assured of their support for Ohuabunwa.
