Crime: Police To Unravel Alleged Murder of Onoh by her Online Business Partners

The body of a 24-year-old Mass Communication graduate from Benue State University, Miss Joy Onoh has been recovered by the Police Command at the Federal Low Cost Housing Estate, North Bank Area of Makurdi town.

The Police Command in the state has confirmed the killing after they recover the deceased corpse and released it to the public .

The Police PRO, DSP Catherin Anene, said the police has confirmed the death of Joy Onoh and as well have commenced investigations to unravel her death and the culprits who are involved in “this heinous and dastardly act.”

The deceased, who after graduating last March ventured into an online petty trading as it is a norm today, dealing basically on clothes, through order and delivery, went missing on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 when she reportedly went to deliver goods to a prospective buyer who had contacted her through phone. But she never made it back home.

According to Anene, “on October 20, at about 7am, a corpse of a young lady was recovered but before then, a case of missing young lady was reported.

The family reported that she had gone out to deliver clothes. So the police started a search.

She said; “The corpse has been deposited for autopsy. For now we have no explanation to the cause of the death, but in due course will communicate you accordingly.” the Police Command related.

Also Anene said “no mark of violence was seen on her body but it is not for us to tell what happened. The doctors will tell us better after the autopsy”

When newsmen visited the deceased home, her widowed mother, Mrs. Grace Onoh,siblings and friends including other sympathizers were all in tears, mourning her demise.

Mrs. Onoh pleaded with the security agencies to serve her justice by apprehending those who murdered her daughter in cold blood, recounting the excruciating pains her and her family are going through.
