University of Bokkos Vice-chancellor, Prof. Yohanna Izam seeks to reposition the institution through installation of16 facilities  to facilitate the accreditation of its courses by the Nigerian University Commission, NUC. 

Speaking at his Resident along Lamigo junction in Jos North  Local Government Area of the state, Azi said  normalcy has been restored to the institution with academic  activities  picking and thanked the Gov Lalong  led administration  

According  to him,  the University  has embarked on the construction of network of roads, prompt payment of salaries as well as the  reappointment of Prof Atahiru Jega as chairman  pro chancellor  on the  This would help it to consolidate on the current  achievement in the area of academic pursuing. 

Prof Azi explained  that  he plans to reposition the Plateau State University of Bokkos as one the leading  university  in Nigeria to  embark on research in bringing  viability of the science  oriented  institution . 

He stresses  that  the  future  of the University  is bright  because  “my vision  of trying  to maintain  standards can not  be compromised  by any means and  with  the  research  and  post graduate  courses  that are underway we will  showcase the potential  of meeting  the aspiration  of modern  learning.” 

Prof Yohanna Azi said that part of its CSR, the university would engage and empower the youths of its host community, Butura, on skill acquisitions. for them to be productive to the society.
