Wreckage of the aircraft and tweet by the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, confirming the crash
A a Boeing 350 aircraft belonging to the Nigerian Air Force has crashed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja. The minister of aviation, Hadi Sirika confirmed the crash in a tweet and said the military would conduct an investigation to unravel the cause of the accident.
Available information has it that the plane was initially seen to be heading in the direction of a residential area, but was manoeuvred into a bushy area by the pilot.
All onboard the Shadow 10 aircraft, which caught fire on crashing died.
A dependable source who reportedly said that there were six persons on board the aircraft gave the names of the deceased as Flt Lt Gazama, Flt Lt Piyo, Flg Offr Okpara, FS Olawumi, ACM Johnson and Sgt Oluka.
