NNPC Tanker Causes Traffic Gridlock in Jos

A tanker load of premium Spirit of fuel belonging to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, has derailed and abandoned along Polo round about, causing traffic gridlock in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau state since Sunday afternoon.

The driver of the NNPC tanker lost control and landed inside waterways, according to eyewitnesses.

However, Fire service  mobilized their people to control possible outbreak of fire because of the activities of some youths scooping fuel dripping from the tanker.

The security personnel who were drafted to the scene arrested some youths.Still many are lurking around.

Travelers movements were kept to a halt for sometime before traffic was diverted to one lane of the road.
