Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen.Tukur Buratai, says newly recruited soldiers currently undergoing training must be ready to go to Sambisa Forest.

The Army Chief made this known at the final screening of 80 Regular Recruits in Falgore Forest training camp, Kano State.

Lt. Gen. Buratai while charging the new recruits on the need to face insurgents and other border areas in order to defend Nigeria from external aggression said any recruit not ready to be disciplined, loyal and ready to go where they would be deployed to can drop the offer.

He noted that the development which is aimed at recruiting the best is a new approach to the screening and acceptance of candidates into the Nigerian Army so as to avoid faulty recruitment that could lead to faulty training and subsequently, faulty operations.

The Army Chief further maintained that all recruitment, selection and commissioning into the Nigerian Army would henceforth be conducted in Falgore Forest, Kano State.
