NDE Repositions For Sustenable Employment Generation- DG

The Director-General of the National Directorate of Employment, Nasiru Ladan has reiterated his organisation’s commitment to actualise its mandate through capacity building.

The Director-General gave the assurance while declaring open a- 4-day Train-The-Trainers  Workshop on The Institutionalisation of Result-Based Monitoring And Evaluation process for NDE programs through Key Performance Indicators holding in Lokoja, the Kogi state capital between Monday to Thursday this week.

The Director-General who was represented by the Director of Finance and Supply of the NDE, Abubakar Fikpo affirmed that the Workshop with the theme: ” Leverage on result tracking for effective service delivery”  is part of the management’s desire to reposition NDE for sustainable employment generation with corresponding records on the achievements so far.

Ladan also gave the assurance that the workshop is targeted at equipping participants with necessary skills in monitoring and evaluation of the management system of the Directorate geared towards job creation.

He advised the participants to avail themselves of the opportunity offered by the training and come up with a white paper that will positively impact on the operations of the Directorate.

In his welcome address, the Head of the department of  Planning, Research and Statistics, Cyril Offiong commended the Director-General’s initiative to organise  the workshop which he said would go a long way in  shaping the skills of the staff of the department for effective service delivery.

Offiong also expressed his believe that the training will add more values to the abilities of the participants to leave above board in the discharge of their duties.
