The Deputy National Secretary of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Jock Alamba has urged Sen Jeremiah Timbut Useni to accept the outcome of the supplementary rerun election won by incumbent governor of Plateau state, Simon Lalong.
While congratulating President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor’s Simon Bako Lalong on their victory at the just concluded elections, he charged all elected members of the party to ensure transparency and commitment to the well-being of Nigerians.
Alamba who stated this in an interview with our correspondence at his Jos North LGA, residence, also congratulated the State Chairman of APC, Letep Dabang, Chief of staff, John Dafaan, the Director General Buhari /Lalong campaign, Arc Pan Dung Gyang and others stakeholders whom he said contributed immensely to ensure the victory of the APC in Plateau State.
According to him, the re-election of Governor Simon Bako Lalong didn’t come to him as a surprise because of his humble disposition, Lalong has demonstrated that he is a leader who take the plight of the people seriously in spite the condemnation witness in the state.
He advised that the government of Plateau State to take the task of repositioning the state seriously and work hard to ensure his second tenure meets the high expectations of the people for their welfare and developments.
Alamba frowned at the decision of the PDP candidate, Jeremiah Timbut Useni to challenge the outcome of the election in court, saying. “I have high respect for him but as a politician the winning by the APC is clear. A real politician accepts defeat in a fair contest.
“Governor’s Lalong has done credibly well to deliver good will to the masses of the state, I call on all the citizens to give him the overwhelming support,” he concluded.
