Lalong Urges Church Leader to Break Denomination Barriers

Governor Simon Bako Lalong has commended the Arewa Pastors Forum for Peace (APFFP), in their individuals efforts to support government towards addressing societal challenges

Represented by the Director of Press affairs Pastor Emmanuel Nanle, Lalong gave the commendation to the church leaders at the weekend during the inauguration of the state chapter of the Forum in Jos.

He urged the church leaders to contribute to the economic empowerment of it members and their states, stating that the door of his  as his administration is wide open to accept criticism that will attract meaningful development .

Lalong asked the new leadership of Plateau state chapter of APFFP to take advantage of the anchor borrower scheme of the federal government on agricultural revolution and remain committed to their feeding of family .

He emphasized the need to encourage retired pastors to be beneficiary of government plans through participation in cooperative societies to foster peace in the north.

He also and urged them to come together and break denomination barrier.

National President of the Forum Bishop, said the church leaders should continue to maintain their position of working for the restoration of souls and building love and understanding among Christian faithful .

He charges fellow Christian to remain ambassador of Christ but condemn the unwarranted killings of their members by terrorist group in the North and charged members to embark on farming activities to feed themselves and their immediate families.

“It is becoming a doom each time you wake up to discover our brilliant and intellectual youths are not aware or appear to operate in pretence over the sinking nature of Nigeria. 

“Patriotism no more exist, love has disapeared, sincerity no more counts, citizenship is now base on ethnic identity. We have become used to praise singing fight on daily basis to impress our paymasters.

Nigerians are more known in defending individuals than its nation. What exactly is the problem? Godfatherism ? Nepotism ? Favouratism ?, Ethnicity ? Cabalism ? We are only wallowing in agony to fate not to fend. I have wonder over and over without resting to reason as to how much is expected of from the church leadership”, he lamented

“Nigeria is a nation where practical democracy is read in books while practising democracy is mixed with fetish satanic act of oligarchy as such church leadership  have become tools of destruction instead of great leaders who are grown to govern this nation today.

He challenged Plateau youths to rise up and unite with other ethnic group in the state  take back it from insurgents who are bent on creating disharmony.
