Thousands of volunteers of a Non- Governmental Organization, Jamatul Nasiril Islam, JNI, Fityanul, have been urged to be accountable and transparent while providing services to humanity.
Secretary General of the body, Engr Mansur Nakande charged the new members to follow due process in their stewardship as they embark on providing free service towards improving the living standard of internally displaced persons .
Nakande stated this at the zonal retreat organized to sensitize them on the important of them contributing to human situation in Plateau State.
At the retreat which was held at the secretariat of the Jos North Local Government Council of Plateau State, Mansur told the members to see themselves as ambassador of Islam in their conduct and remain committed to the welfare of other vulnerable people who are either affected by natural disaster of crises and need prompt attention.
He said the body has 16,000 register members across the 36 states including the FCT as it was still embarking on online registration of volunteers who are ready to contribute to the growing humanitarian needs of the society.
According to him, the ongoing registration of the members was in line with the federal government agenda on the anti -terrorism act which mandates all religious group to register all her members for easy identification .
He emphasized that the members who register to be part should know that exercise is a voluntary work across the 744 LGAs starting from wards to local government and state .
He advised against those who might use the FITYANUL to extort money to desist as it was not in accordance with the sharia doctoring as Islamic laws want Muslim world over to support their depressed members .

Speaking at the event, the Zonal Director North Central ,Yusuf Pai reiterated the need for the new members to work towards building synergy with the security personnel in the area of their duty post to avoid unnecessary clash of interest.
