Insecurity: Commander 34 Brigade Pledges Support for Nigerian Security Corps

The Commander 34 Artillery Brigade, Brigadier General Yusuf Ibrahim Tukura has expressed the readiness of the Nigerian Army to support the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps while carrying out its obligation. He gave the pledge in Owerri when the newly appointed Commandant of Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps paid him a courtesy visit on Tuesday.

The Commander expressed appreciation for the visit, describing the visit as appropriate. He added that quest for peace in the state requires collaboration amongst security agencies.

Earlier in his remarks, the Commandant Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Imo State Command, Danjuma Daddy Elisha, thanked the commander for the warm reception accorded him and his entourage, stating that, the visit was part of the effort aimed at strengthening the already existing cordial relationship. He sought for the support of the Commander at all time.

The Commandant were accompanied by Dep Comdt, Babatunde Ogundele, Commander Area A, Owerri, Asst Comdt, Offiah Ngozi, Heads of Intelligent and Investigation Department, Asst Comdt Yusuf Samuel and the Command PRO, Superintended Chimeziri Lowell

Present at the event were SO2 G1, Maj FM Akpanumoh, representative of Garrison Commander, Maj BG Oyinloye, representative of Commanding Officer 342 Artillery Regiment, Maj TF Ibiama, Commanding Officer 34 Military Intelligent Regiment, Maj FE Eru and Officer Commanding 34 Provost Company, Lt OE Ukpong.
