Buhari Healthy – Saraki, Dogara, Mohammed. I Speak With Buhari Everyday, Says Older Sister

Senate President, Bukola Saraki and Speaker, Yakubu Dogara yesterday confirmed presidency position that President Muhammadu Buhari is hale and hearty.

Saraki, through his twitter handle @bukolasaraki said that he spoke with the President on Wednesday night and he (President Buhari was in high spirit.

“Happy to have spoken with President Buhari tonight. He was in good spirits and joked about my working late into the night, as usual.

Dogara @yakubudogara said Buhari “called me yesterday and we talked about what the Executive and Lawmakers must do to ensure food security in Nigeria…”

They spoke just as All Progressives Congress National Leader, Ahmed Bola Tinubu and ex-party Chairman, Bisi Akande paid Buhari a visit in London yesterday

Hajiya Rakiya, the only surviving elder sister of President Muhammad Buhari, told the News agency of Nigeria in Daura, Katsina state, the 84-year-old said the president needed the prayers of every Nigerian for him to succeed in the task of addressing the problems facing the nation.

Minister for Information and Culture Lai Mohammed, on Wednesday after the Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting said that, President Muhammadu Buhari, is hale and hearty and in no danger at all

Addressing State House Correspondents after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) on the eagerness of Nigerians to know Buhari’s health status, he said Buhari was a victim of his own transparency.

“I can say it without any equivocation, Mr President is well, he is hale and he is hearty; no question about that.

“I want to assure you, Mr President is well and he is in absolutely no danger.

“Mr. President, like I said elsewhere, is probably a victim of his own transparency.

“He was going on leave, he did what the constitution said he should do, transmitted it to the National Assembly and Acting President was put in place.

“And he said `while I am on leave, I am going to conduct some medical tests’ which many, or all of us do without announcing it.’’

Rakiya said President Buhari being a mortal is bound to fall ill or even die “at any time his Creator wishes’’.

She said she speaks with the president everyday since his departure to London on his annual leave and he is in high spirit.

“I just returned from the lesser Hajj and even while in Saudi Arabia I was communicating with him everyday,” Rakiya popularly called Amadodo told NAN. She said while in Saudi Arabia, she communicated with him every ten hours”

“We were 28 from our mother late Hajiya Zulaihatu who died in 1992, but Buhari was her last born” she said.
