Yakubu Busari, Jos

Against the backdrop of the recent killings in Benue and Taraba by herdsmen, an All Progressive Congress ( APC)  Chieftain, Jock Alamba has sued for peace in the affected communities while noting that  human blood is sacred before God and Nigerians should eschew the killing of innocent women and defenceless children.

He said the increasing clashes between  herders/farmers  in the country pose serious challenge to the security agents and theFederal Government.

Alamba who stated this at his resident in Algadama in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau state said; “l am hoping that that the herders will see reasons as to hand down their arms and come to the reality of dialogue.” adding that “what is happening in Benue has created such  climate of fear which should not be allowed to spread to the other areas of the country. We must as a people understand that in any conflicts the road to prevention is vigilance and dialogue.”

“I advise that the Governors of Benue and Tarabe statea and stakeholders to join hands with the Federal Government to seek a genuine solution to avoid a recurrence”.
