Herdsman Seeks Arrest of Herders, Berom Youths Involved in Killings

A herdsman Mallam Abdulmumuni Haruna has called for the arrest of any Fulani and Berom youths who have been identified for terrorizing communities in the middle belt, claiming that such culprits have formed themselves into syndicates to perpetual all manner of killings in Nigeria .

Haruna in an interview with Thisage at the NUJ premises on Wednesday in Jos, the palateau State capital said the “incessant killings of innocent citizens by suspected herdsmen in Nigeria has continued to wreck havoc to the peaceful coexistence and togetherness of our people.”

Mallam Abudulmunmuni condemned what he called the act criminality against fellow man and appealed to leaders of various communities to come together and condemn the killing and talk to their youths stop taking part in it.

Any Fulani herdsman who engages in destroying farmlands in the name of grazing should be charge for committing crime against his  fellow man, so too for any youth caught engaging in cattle rustling, he should be arrested  and handed over to security agencies for prosecution by law, he said.
