Governor of Delta state , Ifeanyi Okowa has tweeted a congratulation to Dr Ngozi Oknojo-Iweala, former Nigerian two-time Minster of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy on her appointment as a member of the 18- member Economic Advisory Council, by President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa.
According to Okowa, home state governor of Iweala by birth: “On behalf of the Government and people of Delta State, I congratulate a worthy Ambassador of Delta State, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala — on her appointment into South Africa’s Economic Advisory Council.
Dr. Okonjo-Iweala’s appointment by President Cyril Ramaphosa, is a testament to her competence and experience as a renowned economist and international development expert. As she continues on in this remarkable role, we wish her success in all her endeavors.”
Iweala is a former Managing Director fo the World Bank and renowned author of books on economy management and corruption.
