The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has deployed 100 personnel at strategic locations in Bassa Local Government to assist in the maintenance of law and order among the Fulani /Irigwe communities where repeated communal clashes has claimed many lives in the past few days.
The Plateau State chapter commandant, Olasupo Solomon disclosed that at leat 100 of its personnel were deploy to complement the efforts of the police and army to help bring the crisis under control .
Commandant Solomon in a interview with our reporter disclose that the Fulani herdsmen/farmers clashes had resulted to the loss of lives and properties in Plateau state and its environs and condemned the incessant attacks on innocent citizens who are going about their normal businesses .
Solomon reiterated the need for cordial working relationship between the leadership of Miyyeti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria and community leaders for peace to reign in our immediate society
He decried the proliferation of small arms in Nigeria and appealed for urgent step to tackle the menace as well as the violence within the state.
