The National Secretary Gan-Allah Development Association, GANDAN, Alh Saleh Bayari has urged federal government of Nigeria to thoroughly constitute an “investigative team of security personnel to expose those behind Islamic States of West Africa, Boko Haram and bandits now perpetuating heinous crime in Zamfara, Sokoto ,Niger and Katsina states.”

He said government also called on the government investigate properly, “ people who are carrying arms, ammunition going about entering villages killings human beings with virtually unchecked” .

Speaking to our medium at his resident in Rikkos in Jos North Local Government of Plateau state, Bayari said the government should have put in place mechanism on how to address the menace .

He lamented that “if those behind the terrorism are killing fellow Muslims and Christians, including those of their tribes then there must be more reason than meets they eye and the Buhari government is yet to explore the major problem behind why this crime is on the increase.?”

Bayari lamented that “in 2011 when banditry and stealing was going on in Damboa LGA, we find out what happen then and communicated it to government but they didn’t care about it and since then households can’t go to sleep and still nobody cares to know the problem.”

According to him what is important now is to address the issue of insecurity and to stop politicizing it.

As Bayari explained, the” insecurity has worsened and snowballed into others geo-political zones of south-south south-east, South-west and now farmers ,herders conflict is such that at a point we ask our brothers living in the affected parts to relocate to the northern part.”

He urged the government to heed the public call for the change of the service chiefs, saying that “ for the past five years they have not succeeded then we need to try others since they have failed to solve the problem and because human being are endowed with different talents; they’ve been there and criminal elements are parading the countryside, brandishing weapons on the streets without arrest.”
