Godwin Obaseki has again consolidated his victory as governor of Edo State following the dismissal of petition filed by the Action Democratic party, ADP against his election on September 19, 2020.
The petition which was filed by the governorship candidate of the ADP, Iboi Emmanuel was dismissed on Monday by the Edo Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal presided over by Justice Yunusa Musa.
Recently, other petitions, first on alleged forgery of his certificate filed by the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC , in the state was dismissed by the appeal court. On Monday, the petition filed by ADP and Tracy Agol of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) were dismissed by the election tribunal.
