Edo Declares 2.91b Allocation To LGA, Records 2.21bn IGR in 2018.

The Edo state government has declared N2.21bn as the Internally Generated Revenue, IGR for the state in 2018.

The 18 local governments of the state generated the revenue to which an additional N.70bn was added and allocated as revenue accruing to the LGAs for the month of December 2018.

Chairman of Etsako Central Local Government, John Akhigbe, who spoke to journalists after the state joint Account and Allocation Committee meeting chaired by Governor Godwin Obaseki, said that out of the total allocation of N2,905,450,753.75, “teachers and non-teacher’s salary gulped N1.205,284, 722.17, while N276,144,513 was set aside for LG Contributory Pension.”

He said total deduction for the month stood at N1.812,970,536.91, while net allocation to the LGAs stood at N1.092,480,216.54.
