Easter: APC, Rep Urge ChristianS to Emulate Christ Teaching’s

The member Representing Bassa/Jos North at the National Assembly,  Suleiman Yahaya-Kwande has celebrated with Christians worldwide over the passion and resurrection of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary .

In his Easter message ,Yahaya-Kwande charged Christians to emulate the good teaching of Jesus Christ on love and forgiveness in their heart.

Quoting from the Bible, he said, “The night has passed and the morning is at hand, so, cast away the deeds of the darkness and put on the armour of light be vested with our Lord Jesus Christ”. (Romans 13: 12)

  “My dear Christian faithfuls and Nigerians, I celebrate with you in this year of Easter to employ the spiritual ethos of Easter, which include love, peace, and sacrifice, forgiveness in contributing to the unity and peaceful coexistence among Nigerians”.

“We should not only use the season for our personal gain alone but continue to pray for those who lost their beloved once during the recent killings on the Plateau and Nigeria at large, may God forgive them and wish them heaven at last.

“Let use the season to preach love, peace and unity as Nigerians and Pray/support the government of the day to achieve the basic dividends of democracy.

“Once more I celebrate with you and happy Easter Nigerians by calling on Nigerians to shun social verses capable of disintegrated us as citizens of Nigeria.

The All Progressives Congress (APC)  urgedChristians to take cognizance of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Cavalry for our sins. “We call on all irrespective of religious affiliations to emulate the virtues of Jesus Christ as epitomized by his life of understanding, tolerance and sacrifice. Only then will we co-exist peacefully as a nation and collectively achieve the Nigeria of our dreams.

“As we gather around family, friends and loved ones for the festivities, we also urge Nigerians to remember in our thoughts and prayers the abducted schoolchildren who remain in the captivity of terrorists. We assure of the federal government’s solid commitment to ensure their safe release and bring lasting peace to the country’s North East.”
