Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has directed civil servants in the state to observe a compulsory 14 days holiday as part of measures to contain the spread of corona Virus. .
Speaking during a briefing at the State House, Marina, on Sunday, he said the directive was aimed at curbing the spread of the virus in the state.
According to him, “Lagos State civil servants from Grade Level 1-12 should stay at home for the next 14 days with effect from tomorrow, March 23, 2020. We have noticed that some mosque were closed on Friday and some churches on Sunday (today), members worshipped from home. We want to use this opportunity to urge our traditional leaders to sensitise their communities on the need to avoid public gatherings”
